About Janet

Janet is a mother of four and a passionate advocate for maternal health. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but raised in New Jersey, USA. She now resides in a village just outside Ipswich, England.

Janet was first introduced to the MNVP as a member of West Suffolk MNVP when she was pregnant with her first daughter 7 years ago. She became a member and served as a volunteer for 3 years after giving birth to her second child at the West Suffolk hospital. She then went on to have two home births, using the home birth team from Ipswich Hospital.

Janet is passionate about engaging MNVP at a community level and seeing more stories of care in regards to births or birth loss from families of colour and all families in our community. As the lead of MNVP she is excited to use her platform to make a difference.
